Ben Jordan, Owner of The Bear Trail says “We are delighted with the news that we were awarded COMMENDED for Small Visitor Attraction of the Year by the South West Tourism Awards. We were put forward for this award after receiving SILVER for Small Visitor Attraction in the Devon Tourism Awards last month.”
The Devon and South West Tourism Awards are judged by a team of mystery shoppers who visit tourist attractions and spend the day there, producing a Mystery Shop Report that covers everything from the pre-visit planning and booking process to the quality of the facilities, customer service, overall experience and the all-important “Wow” factor. This year saw a record 773 entries go before the South West Awards panel.
“As a small visitor attraction based in one of the largest tourism regions of England, it’s important to differentiate ourselves from other tourist destinations. There are plenty of amazing places to visit in the South West, but families that visit us are looking for the wow factor - a different and individual experience that they will talk and laugh about in years to come. A visit to The Bear Trail is proper screen-free family time in the outdoors, being able to enjoy the obstacles and get as muddy as possible”, said Ben.
“Customer service is at the forefront of everything we do, so chatting to our customers while they take a break from the course is a great way to find out how we can improve what we have to offer. We are really proud of our team who work so hard to give our amazing customers a great experience here. Our vision is to keep growing the business to make us the ultimate year-round destination in the South-West for families and we’ve got some very big plans for 2020. We can’t release details quite yet…but watch this space for an announcement in the New Year!”
