St Luke's Hospice Plymouth is named the official Charity Partner for this year’s Reindeer Run sponsored by DTE Electrical Brothers. Taking place on Sunday 15th December, at Central Park, the festive run invites participants to don reindeer antlers, embrace the Christmas spirit, and join the community in support of an incredible cause. As part of this partnership, £1 from every entry will go directly to St Luke’s, helping to further their invaluable work across Plymouth and surrounding areas.
The Reindeer Run offers a 5K route, suitable for those aged 11 and over, and a 2K course designed for children as young as 4 to be accompanied with an adult, making it a family-friendly event that everyone can enjoy. Participants will receive their own pair of Reindeer antlers to wear for the event, a festive medal – designed to double as a Christmas tree ornament – to mark their accomplishment, along with a mince pie at the finish line. As a bonus, all runners will enjoy exclusive early access to Plymouth's Winter Wonderland, a perfect start to the festive season.
St Luke's has been a pillar of support and compassion in the community, providing specialist end-of-life care to patients and their families facing life-limiting illnesses. With a dedicated team offering a combination of medical, emotional, and practical support, St Luke’s helps to ensure that those in need can experience comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Their care extends beyond the patient to provide support for families during difficult times, both in the hospice and at home.
Daniel Ninnim, Events & Partnership Executive at Taurus Events, commented: “We are delighted to be working with St Luke's as the official Charity Partner for our new Reindeer Run. The work they do in our community is exceptional and we hope to drive and inspire people to help support the cause and fundraise for them.”
Join us on 15th December for the Reindeer Run 2024 and help make a difference for St Luke’s. Whether you’re taking on the 5K or cheering on young runners in the 2K, your participation and support will bring joy and hope to those in need this Christmas.
