That hadn’t happened before. Now with a second year, it feels like the start of a great feel-good tradition.”

The Spring Classic Surf Invitational returns with a stacked field featuring some of the UK's top pro surfers, going toe to toe with international invitees and the best local talent.
Emily Currie, the 2022 Spring Classic Surf Invitational winner, says, “Last year’s Surf Invitational was easily one of the funnest contests I’ve had the pleasure to be a part of. The initiative of this event was awesome – retro boards and a whole lot of fun.”
A surf contest with a difference, competitors are handed a board at random ahead of their heat with judges rewarding the best style, flow and the surfer having the most fun.
The boards themselves represent a piece of North Devon surfing heritage, with a range of retro surf crafts donated by local collectors for the weekend.
Surfing isn't reserved only for the pros, with a special ticket bundle that includes a surf lesson at Woolacombe beach, in the heart of the World Surfing Reserve site.
Spring Classic’s Skate is the perfect spot to take part in dedicated ramp sessions - pro or grom. The epic weekend of waves also has wheels. The Moto Paddock is home to both custom and classic bikes, including customisation to thrill even the most dedicated moto-devotee, exploring the beauty behind the bike in the showcase area.
