Arrival: Christmas Eve
Check-in early from 12 noon to maximise your day and immerse yourself in the festive spirit. Meet in the residents' lounge from 6.30pm for pre-dinner drinks, followed by a delightful dinner from 7pm. Indulge in a sumptuous 3 course meal selected from our delicious festive menu, then retire to the lounge for a nightcap, savouring the enchanting ambience and the anticipation of Christmas Day.
Christmas Day
Awake to a beautifully festive Devonshire Breakfast, accompanied by a glass of Champagne and savour your favourite breakfast delicacies. Take your time and relish in a leisurely morning meal, whilst you plan your day ahead.
Enjoy the tranquillity of the season with a Christmas Day walk on Dartmoor, basking in the peace and quiet. Return to Lydgate House Hotel to indulge in a celebratory pre-dinner drink of your choice from 2pm, accompanied with canapes. Then, prepare to feast on a lavish 3 course Christmas dinner with all the traditional trimmings. Enjoy being looked after and all your needs tended to. Afterwards, unwind in the lounge, where you can immerse yourself in a captivating book, engage in a friendly game of cards or simply "pause a while" and enjoy cherished moments with your loved ones.
If you find yourself feeling peckish in the early evening, there will be a selection of cold meats, cheese, and chutneys available to satisfy cravings. Conclude the evening with a delectable slice of Christmas cake or a tempting Yule Log, whichever delights your palate. Maybe a nightcap to round off a relaxing and memorable Christmas Day.
