A track has been built on Seaton Beach to allow wheelchair and mobility scooter users to more easily access the water.
The project was delivered by Seaton Town Council, East Devon District Council and Devon County Council and the three authorities are now looking into additional funding to extend the path further. The path was the idea of Nicky Dack, Seaton Town Council’s Disability Champion, who has Multiple Sclerosis and was the first person to use the new path. She told reporters that it was amazing to be back on the beach for the first time in 15 years.
Amrik Singh, Mayor of Seaton, said: “Seaton is the town where everyone is welcome.”
