A new Champagne Afternoon Tea experience will be served at Boringdon Hall Hotel this summer letting visitors indulge in the British teatime tradition. Bookings are open now for the experience which runs until Saturday 31st August.

Take tea outside on the lawn or inside the Great Hall at 5-star Boringdon Hall Hotel this summer and delight in finger sandwiches, scones, cakes, and a loose-leaf tea. Guests can choose from 17 different Jing Tea blends to accompany their savoury and sweet treats.

The chefs have put a twist on the classic savoury offering with a Gruyere & Rosemary Scone and Goats Cheese & Beetroot Tart, alongside the finger sandwiches. Fruit and plain scones are served with a selection of conserves; however, visitors will need to decide if they’re enjoying them in the Cornish or Devonshire style. Catering to all vegan and gluten free afternoon tea menus are also available.

Boringdon Hall Hotel’s new for 2024 Champagne Afternoon Tea is being hosted in partnership with Laurent-Perrier. Indulge in a glass of Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé Champagne to elevate the afternoon treat. Paired perfectly with the sweet conserves and savoury sandwiches, the rosé pink makes for a pretty picture too.

Characterised by its ripe red fruit aromas, a high intensity and great freshness the Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé Champagne has notes of raspberry, redcurrant, strawberry and black cherry – pairing perfectly with the patisseries presented on the trolley.

Afternoon Tea guests can admire the theatre of the bespoke cake trolley, which is a new addition to Boringdon Hall Hotel’s Afternoon Tea offering in 2024. Guests can choose freshly baked cakes from the trolley and it gives visitors another chance to interact with Boringdon Hall Hotel’s expert team.

Boringdon Hall Hotel is perched on the edge of Dartmoor and surrounded by ancient oak trees. Just a 15-minute drive from Plymouth, the historic hotel is the perfect countryside sanctuary to while away a few hours with good food and good company.

Guests can walk in the footsteps of English aristocracy at Boringdon Hall Hotel, a former Tudor manor house, the hotel is rumoured to have welcomed Sir Francis Drake and was at one point the property of the Crown under Henry III’s reign. In the Great Hall look up and admire tapestries, intricate carvings and the great mantle above the fireplace depicting King James I’s coat of arms.

Partake in the timeless tradition of Afternoon Tea at the 5-star Boringdon Hall Hotel this summer and leave feeling like royalty. The Afternoon Tea is £32 per person or £55 per person including a glass of Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé Champagne.
