A new open top bus that will tour Plymouth’s waterfront and the historic city centre is being launched the spring giving sightseers a wonderful way to explore the city.
The Ocean City Sights is a new ‘hop on hop off’ experience and takes visitors to all the best parts of Britain’s Ocean City and what’s more, bus tickets also grant access to exclusive offers redeemable at businesses around the city! Discounts and offers include 10% off admission to the National Marine Aquarium and free child entry to the Mayflower Museum among others. All the offers can be seen online at www.oceancitysights.co.uk
The new bus is being launched by Plymouth Citybus, who have worked with local businesses to provide discounts and offers to passengers when they present their tickets at attractions, eateries and shops along the route. The tickets last the entire day, allowing you to hop on and off as many times as you like with dedicated stops along a new route. Buses will pick up every half an hour during peak times giving you plenty of chance to check out some of Plymouth’s top attractions during the day. The route takes in Royal Parade, the Barbican, Hoe Foreshore, Millbay and Royal William Yard. It will then head along Union Street, passing the railway station and the University of Plymouth and on to Mayflower Street where you’ll find independent shops before returning to Royal Parade. Passengers can come and go as they please and can start and stop their journey anywhere they like along the route.
The first Ocean City Sights journey will depart on 6th April.
