Looking for festive events in Devon this Christmas? Head to Exmouth Winter Festival on Saturday 28 November 2026 for an afternoon and evening of seasonal entertainment, family activities and the town's annual Christmas lights switch-on.
Taking place on The Strand from 3pm to 7.30pm, the free event will transform Exmouth town centre into a magical Winter Wonderland, featuring live music, choirs, walkabout entertainment, festive food and community celebrations.
Lantern Parade and Christmas Lights Switch-On
One of the event's highlights is the popular Lantern Parade, which will travel from Holy Trinity Church to The Strand, arriving ahead of the Christmas lights switch-on at 7.05pm. Visitors are invited to join the parade and take part in lantern-making workshops throughout November.
Family Entertainment and Festive Treats
Expect live performances from local choirs and musicians, alongside festive attractions including a giant snow globe, bouncing snowmen, stilt walkers, Christmas crafts, mulled wine, seasonal cocktails and churros.
