Two of Devon’s most popular beaches have been named as some of the best beaches in the South West in this year’s Sunday Times 50 Best Beaches Guide. The list features beaches from all over the world, with nine being from the South West.
Speaking about the list, Sunday Times Chief Travel Writer, Chris Haslam, said: This is the most comprehensive and detailed beach guide available and it proves, that when the sun is shining, our beaches are the more beautiful on earth.” The guide was created to highlight the beauty of Britain’s coast and as well as featuring the beaches themselves, also ranks them based on the setting and everything you need to plan a day out there.
Both Beer and Bigbury-on-Sea were mentioned in the list, joining beaches from neighbouring Cornwall and Dorset to make up the South West’s offering.
