The winners of this year’s Blue Flag and Seaside Awards have been announced, with several of Devon’s beaches being rewarded recognition for their safety and cleanliness. In England, they are awarded by Keep Britain Tidy, a national incentive that aims to keep Britain’s natural beauty clean and tidy for future generations.

The Blue Flag is an internationally recognised award as the gold standard for beaches and highlights those that guarantee a safe and clean visit with plenty of facilities, whereas, the Seaside Award is presented to the best beaches in England and celebrates the diversity and quality of the nation’s coastlines.

Several of Devon’s beaches have been acknowledged in 2022.
