Motoring experts have revealed Britain’s top 8 romantic routes for couples ahead of Valentine’s Day with two Devon locations in the list.

Tim Alcock, from, told reporters: “With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, it’s usually a rush to book a table at your favourite restaurant or to order a bouquet of roses at the last minute. But to make the most of the special day more affordably, we’ve discovered routes across the country where lovers can enjoy a romantic day together taking in some of Britain’s most breath taking sights.”

The list which includes villages in the Cotswolds, with its old-time charm, and Scotland’s Three Lochs Drive, mentions Haytor Rocks on Dartmoor and the road overlooking Croyde Bay in North Devon.

Tim continued: “There’s plenty of areas to choose from, including Croyde Road, overlooking the North Devon coastline or climbing up to Haytor Rocks off the B3387 to witness a breath taking view at sunset.”
