Affinity Devon is bringing festive magic to North Devon this year with the launch of its brand new free ice rink, the sparkling centrepiece of its Christmas 2025 celebrations. Opening on Thursday 11st December and running until Sunday 21st December, the rink promises fun for the whole family, with sessions available daily and special late-night skating on Thursday 11th and 18th December.
This exciting addition headlines a festive programme running throughout November and December. Affinity Devon’s Christmas calendar offers something for everyone - from creative workshops and local markets to enchanting entertainment and meet-and-greets with beloved festive characters.
The celebrations begin on Saturday 22nd November with the Elf Workshop, where children can step into Santa’s world and enjoy a day of hands-on festive fun. Young visitors can make reindeer food, mix magical elixirs, write letters to Santa, and craft their own cards and decorations to take home.
Families can then meet Santa and the mischievous Grinch on Sunday 23th November, before Santa makes a joyful return on Sunday 7th December when he arrives on his sleigh to spread Christmas cheer across the centre.
In December, Affinity Devon will host Thursday Christmas Markets alongside late-night shopping evenings on the 4th, 11th and 18th December. Local suppliers will showcase handmade gifts, seasonal treats and crafts while the stores stay open until 8pm. Shoppers can also enjoy live music from local school choirs and musicians, as well as the return of the popular Santa Stamp Card, giving customers the chance to win a £50 Next Gift Card each week.
Adding even more festive sparkle, visitors can enjoy a free indoor Snow Globe Experience on Saturday 6th December, where families can step inside a giant snow globe for a picture-perfect winter photo moment. The celebrations continue with Christmas Farmers Food and Craft Markets on 29th and 30th November and again from 19th to 23rd December, showcasing the best of local produce, gifts and artisan crafts.
With its enchanting new ice rink, festive workshops, family events and vibrant shopping atmosphere, Affinity Devon is set to become North Devon’s must-visit destination this Christmas.
