Located just a short drive from the bustling English Riviera, and the historic towns of Totnes and Dartmouth, Whitehill Country Park is close to many picturesque beaches together with a wealth of award-winning attractions.
Situated in 40 acres of glorious countryside, the award-winning dog-friendly family holiday park offers a range of accommodation to suit all budgets, including boutique holiday caravans with hot tubs, luxury lodges, touring and camping and glamping pods.
Once home to the famous Primley Shire Horses, you will find a wealth of onsite facilities housed within the restored barns and farm buildings.
From classic dishes, including the Hayloft signature hand-battered fish and chips to exotic curries, tuck into a tasty homecooked meal in the restaurant, or enjoy a refreshing drink from the bar as you take in the sweeping countryside views from the terrace. The downstairs café serves a hearty breakfast, plus a range of tasty meals to takeaway. Perfect for summer days, the new Hayloft Kiosk now serves a range of real dairy ice cream. They haven’t forgotten about your four-legged family member, as there is even ice cream especially dogs!
With all the essentials you could need whilst you are away, the onsite shop stocks a variety of delicious Devon produce, including the local Hunt’s Cider (from just over the road!), plus calor gas and a range of camping supplies.
The beautiful heated outdoor pool is an ideal spot for soaking in the sunshine. Complete with children’s paddling pool, fun fountain, mini splash pad and a bubbling poolside spa there is something for all the family to enjoy.
For the kids, you will find a great range of activities designed to cater to all ages from tiny-tots to teens and everything in between! From Campfire Cookouts to Circus Skills, Animal Encounters to Create A Bear - there is something for everyone! (Some activities are available during high season only)
Head to the Rafters to challenge the family to a game of pool, or try your luck on the arcade machines, enjoy an afternoon film, or why not unleash your creative side in the Shire Craft Centre. For younger children, the Den Indoor Soft Play Area is great fun, whatever the weather!
Get outside and explore the park on our nature trails or take a stroll through the parks ancient Bluebell Woods where you will discover a wide range of flowering plants and ferns. If you visit in Spring, don’t miss the spectacular display of native Bluebells.
In the evenings, enjoy music from local musicians in the laid-back atmosphere of the Hayloft Bar or in the School holidays, head to the Granary for lively family entertainment, bingo, children’s discos, music and more from the talented hosts.
For your pooch, you will find a large dog exercise area - perfect for stretching their legs off the lead. If they get a little muddy whilst out and about, you will also find a Dog Shower for cleaning up! Dogs are welcome to join you in the dog-friendly section of the Hayloft Bar.
From the park, walk or cycle along bridle path and green lanes to explore the nearby village of Stoke Gabriel. This idyllic village on the Dart Estuary is a real gem, with a picturesque Mill Pool and Quay. You will also find charming pubs, cafés, gallery and an orchard. The Village Church yard is also home to a Yew tree thought to be 1000 years old. If you fancy a spot of fishing with the children, the Weir is a Crabbing hotspot!

By car (from North): From the end of the M5 at Exeter, take the A380 towards Torquay, into the heart of the English
Riviera and follow the signs to Paignton/Brixham. At the Tweenaway lights, stay in the right hand lane and turn right onto the A385 Paignton to Totnes Road. Take the left at the Parker Arms pub. We are one mile on the left, along the road towards Stoke Gabriel.
By car (from South): From the A38, take the A385/A381 through Totnes towards Paignton. At the Parkers Arms pub turn right. We are one mile on the left, along the road towards Stoke Gabriel.
By train: The nearest train station is Paignton Station, where you can then take a 10-minute taxi or bus ride. By bus: From Paignton Bus Station, take the No.125 bus to Whitehill Country Park. The bus route will stop at the gate to Whitehill Country Park. The stop is named Whitehill.
