This magnificent 19th century Victorian four-star hotel commands a cliff top position, overlooking Torbay and the beautiful Devon coast. A historic property, built in the town’s Victorian period, the hotel is a reminder of why this part of Devon became known as the English Riviera. The Imperial Torquay offers breath taking views, plus a host of leisure facilities, making it the perfect setting for a traditional seaside holiday combined with contemporary comfort and attentive service.
Spread over seven floors, the hotel has 152 bedrooms with distinctive style and comfort at their core. All feature comfortable beds, plumped up pillows, ensuite bathrooms and complimentary BT Wi-Fi with many of the rooms also commanding stunning sea views.
At the heart of the hotel is the restaurant, with breathtaking, panoramic views across Torbay and the South Devon coastline. The menu offers a delicious culinary journey with a focus on fresh local produce and flavour to create exciting, modern dishes. Or relax and unwind in the Palm Court Lounge & Bar, a vintage, coastal-themed bar serving a variety of soft drinks, wines and spirits alongside a seasonal selection of light bites available all day. The light and airy lounges full of period charm from the hotel’s Victorian heyday offer a relaxing backdrop for catching up on the headlines or enjoying a sumptuous afternoon tea.
Located within the hotel, the Health & Beauty Centre offers space to work on your fitness regime, be it with the latest gym technology supported with friendly expert service, or at your own pace. After working out, unwind in the swimming pools, jacuzzi or sauna. Escape for an hour or indulge in a pamper day with a range of Decléor spa treatments including facials, body massages and manicures.
