Riviera Apartments

About

Riviera Apartments is a collection of five superb, self catering holiday apartments on Teignmouth Seafront with spectacular Sea and Teign Estuary views.

In the heart of Teignmouth, Riviera Apartments offers a prime beachfront location without equal, in the historic and popular resort of Teignmouth. The apartments are within easy reach of Shaldon, Dartmouth, Torbay, Dartmoor and the Medieval City of Exeter which boasts a wealth of shops, restaurants, delis and boutiques.

With chic, contemporary interiors each apartment boasts an open plan layout with floor to ceiling windows which enables guests to get the full benefit of the view.

Our self catering apartments offer a home from home experience so you can truly relax. All our apartments offer a chic, comfortable and contemporary interior and are fully equipped with everything you could need including a private lift with secure entrance for exclusive use of the apartments; beautiful kitchens with granite worktops, dishwasher, fridge, separate freezer, microwave and oven; Sony media equipment throughout including flat screen televisions in every bedroom, Freeview in the living areas with 40" televisions and DVD/Blu-Ray Player, Surround Sound and Ipod Playing facility; a separate utility area in each apartment fully equipped with washer/dryer and ironing facilities; spacious open plan living areas with private wrap around balconies and sea views with patio furniture and sun loungers.  The apartments also benefit from a private car park.

The views from bedrooms and living areas extend from Weymouth along Teignmouth seafront all the way to Torbay taking in Teignmouth Seafront and green, Shaldon, up through the Teign Estuary all the way to Dartmoor and taking in views of Teignmouth town.  All apartments have a slightly different view so please give us a call and we will talk you through it.

During peak times minimum stay is 7 nights but other periods short breaks are available.

About Teignmouth

Teignmouth is an historic port on the mouth of the Teign estuary. It has all the attractions of a seaside town, including a Victorian pier. Teignmouth is a working harbour, with many vessels including large ships, fishing boats and pleasure craft, entering and leaving the port. It also benefits from excellent road/rail links including easy access to the A380 dual carriageway to Exeter and the M5 Motorway into Torbay. In addition, Teignmouth boasts a main line railway station with a frequent and fast service to London Paddington.

Teignmouth is a town of two different characters. Along the seaward edge of the town is 'the Den', a large open space with lawns and flower beds that runs along the length of the town - between the promenade and an elegant crescent of Georgian buildings. The Den is where most of the town's holiday activities take place.

As well as a pier, there is a theatre, model railway, children's play areas, tennis courts, bowling greens and a miniature lighthouse that marks the entrance to the harbour.

The estuary side of the town has a very different atmosphere. Boats rest peacefully in the busy harbour, ferries take people across the estuary mouth to the quaint picturesque village of Shaldon, just across the water. The estuary is a lively place, with waterside inns, boats for hire, fishing boats, yachts and beach huts - set against the stunning backdrop of Shaldon and the rolling fringes of Dartmoor, which can be seen in the distance.

The rest of the town is a thriving mixture of shopping areas, interesting old back streets, pedestrian precincts, an Arts Quarter and open public spaces.

The town has a very relaxed feel to it, as you wind your way through narrow streets that suddenly open up into an open area, with more narrow streets and alleys beckoning you to investigate them. The town is an ideal place to explore - find a pavement cafe and just watch the world go by.
