A Dartmoor hotel on the banks of Devon's majestic River Teign, Mill End Hotel and Restaurant is your perfect Country House hideaway. Escape to Dartmoor. Immerse yourself in the wild glory of Devon’s own Dartmoor National Park, whilst soaking up the hospitality, comfort and warmth on which we pride ourselves here at Mill End.
Fifteen individually-styled bedrooms, comfy lounges, log fires and beautiful riverside gardens. Book your hotel room on-line or call to choose your perfect room.
Our restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and Devon Cream Teas and Grand Teas are available all day.
Throughout the evening set menus are £35 for two courses and £40 for three courses, both includes canapes and amuse bouche.
Our Family Room has a double bed, a single, and ample space for an extra fold-out bed. We also have other rooms with space for an extra bed or cot. Children under 14 are charged at £20 per night when sharing with two adults, plus meals as taken. No charge for under 3’s. High tea can be arranged between 5:30pm and 6:30pm (pre-booking required).
Dartmoor is all around. Walking, cycling, fishing and all manner of outdoor pursuits are yours to enjoy. Or just find a perfect spot to sit and soak up the Dartmoor view. Just five minutes from the A30, and 25 minutes from Exeter, we're easy to get to but a million miles away. Devon's coasts are a short drive away. And we're dog-friendly too.
After a day on the moors, you’ll find a warm welcome back at Mill End. Let the pressures of the outside world fade to a distant memory as you enjoy a delicious meal in our restaurant, or simply relax in front of an open fire.

Mill End is a dog-friendly hotel. Dogs are very welcome, and are charged at £8 per dog per night.

We are just five minutes from the A30, on the A382 (leave the A30 at the Whiddon Down junction, and follow the signs for Moretonhampstead). The A30 connects with the M5 at Exeter. The postcode for your SatNav is TQ13 8JN, and a map is provided below.

Whether by car, train or plane, it’s very easy to get to Mill End (although we think you’ll find it’s a little harder to leave!).
