Our commitment to your safety during the Covid 19 Pandemic. We fully understand that we now live in a different world, and our customers will want to know that we are doing everything we can to ensure the safety and hygiene of our cottages.
We have always considered cleanliness to be the most important part of our success.
We understand that everyone also has their own subjective opinion about the virus. But we have to take the risk very seriously. Because even the slightest relaxation of our protocols on your part or on our part could lead to the closure of our business, the cancellation of holidays for our future customers and of course, our health. This is a scenario that we will do everything we can to avoid.
As a result, we have changed many of our daily practices and services to minimize the risk of contracting and spreading the coronavirus. All of these rules will be constantly revised and subject to change, in accordance with government advice and “best practices”. These protocols are in place to protect you and us and other guests.
We thank you for understanding and your cooperation.
Conveniently located in the charming town of Sidmouth, Magnolia is one of five luxury holiday cottages within the Littlecourt complex. Littlecourt’s holiday cottages form part of a Regency era home originally built for the Duke and Duchess of St Albans and is just a short walk from the seafront and Sidmouth town centre.
Originally built as a Victorian addition to Littlecourt, Magnolia cottage has been tastefully refurbished, retaining much of the building’s original charm without sacrificing the modern luxuries you would expect from these cosy cottages. Magnolia is set within award winning gardens which have been featured by the BBC and are meticulously maintained throughout the year.
The three bedroom cottage features a large lounge where you can relax on comfy sofas, a ground floor cloakroom, a newly refurbished, fully fitted open plan kitchen and a beautiful dining area in a lantern conservatory, as well as the bedrooms spread out over two floors. There is also parking available for one car in front of the cottage.
Sidmouth’s mild climate means that these cottages are the ideal choice for a seaside break, no matter what time of year you choose to visit. The cottages provide a self catering service all year around and with the close proximity to Sidmouth, you can easily access a range of top attractions, as well as the stunning Jurassic Coast. Come rain or shine, you have the choice between exploring the wider area or relaxing in comfort in the large lounge area complete with a 52 inch Smart TV and free WiFi throughout the property, so you never have to miss your favourite shows. The kitchen features a breakfast bar, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher, giving you plenty of room to cook and eat together. Should you want to eat out, Sidmouth is home to a variety of top restaurants and eateries offering the very best in fresh local produce. There are a number of restaurants, tea rooms and pubs within walking distance of the cottages, as well as several leisure activities including the town’s award winning gardens, shops, theatre, cinema, putting, croquet and bowling greens, golf course, cricket field, tennis court and indoor heated swimming pool as well as some of the region’s favourite attractions.
If you don’t fancy travelling into town, why not enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the complex? Magnolia cottage has two outside seating areas, as well as the onsite gardens and the hair salon, where you can guarantee an indulgent pamper session.
On the ground floor of the cottage you’ll find the first bedroom, featuring twin beds and an ensuite shower. On the first floor are the other two bedrooms, each with a double bed and ensuite shower. Families are welcome to reserve additional items such as cots and high chairs when booking their stay and with the spacious rooms and the privacy of multiple rooms, families can be sure of a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Sidmouth is the ideal destination for those wanting an adventurous and a relaxing stay – it has something for everyone and it really does offer the best of both worlds. The convenient location of the cottages makes Magnolia the perfect place to base yourself when exploring the east of Devon. The town is the gateway to the historic Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage site and with easy access to the south west coast path and the east Devon coastline, you’ll find plenty to see and do here.
