Lympstone Manor is an historic Grade II listed Georgian manor house, creatively and comprehensively transformed into a contemporary country house hotel by Michael Caines. Situated overlooking the mouth of the Exe estuary, our 21 luxurious guestrooms and suites that take full advantage of the wonderful situation overlooking the Exe, with charming additional accommodation in 6 shepherd huts situated in secluded woodland at the bottom of the Lympstone Manor vineyard just near the foreshore of the estuary. With hand-painted original artwork by local artist Rachel Toll as colourful as the birds that inspire each room, our guestrooms embody our vision of luxury, refinement, comfort, quality, and originality. The majority look out on unrivalled panoramic views of the Exe estuary and across the verdant hills of Devon. The Michelin starred restaurant serves Michael Caines’ award winning eclectic cuisine in the fine dining rooms matched by a world class wine cellar of 600 bins.
The Lympstone Manor vineyard was planted in May, 2018 with 17,000 pinot noir, meunier and chardonnay vines. It is envisaged that the first release of Lympstone Manor Cuvée will be in late 2023.
Lympstone Manor has 28 acres of gardens, grounds and parkland. There is a tennis court, outdoor swimming pool and poolhouse, and a sculpture garden. Located on the edge of Exmouth, just 20 minutes from Exeter, capital of Devon, it offers tranquility and beauty from its position overlooking the tidal Exe estuary. It is also a perfect base from which to explore East Devon and the Jurassic Coast (a UNESCO World Heritage site), or west to Dartmoor and the South Hams.
Lympstone Manor is a proud member of Relais and Châteaux.
