St Nicks Xmas Fair
AboutThe Festive Season is only weeks away and St Nick's Fair is the place to get you into the Christmas spirit!
St Nick's fair is being held at Kingsbridge Community College on Saturday 7 December between 11.30- 2.30pm.
Come and join in the laughter and fun, make a start on your Christmas shopping and catch up with friends old and new.
For kids big and small Santa's Grotto (with its own elves), sumo wrestling, bouncy castle (kindly sponsored by Savills), face painting and hair braiding will provide hours of exciting entertainment, while seasonal music, mulled wine and mince pies offer gentler attractions to get everyone in the holiday mood.
To sort your Christmas shopping there are presents galore on the candle stall, gift stall, accessories, toys and games, bric-a-brac stands and the books, CD and stocking filler stalls. This year there's even a plant sale too!
Why not try your luck on the Tesco Tombola, kindly organised by Sue Durant of Tesco's. We also have the ever-popular Bottle Tombola for the adults and the Sweetie Tombola for the kids.
Don't forget to stock up on raffle tickets to boost your chances of winning a beautifully (eco)-wrapped, luxury hamper full of delicious goodies, just in time for Christmas.
When you need refreshment, the Christmas cafe in the Hub will be serving a special menu of curries with rice & naan bread, veggie chilli with rice & tortilla, fresh fish goujons in a pot with homemade tomato sauce, bacon, sausage or egg baps, all from £1.50 - £3. Teas, coffee, hot chocolate and soft drinks to keep the kids happy - you even have an Elf that will help you find your way!
Entry and parking is free and the buggy park in the library means that mums can enjoy the event pram-free! Also, the Coleridge Bus is providing FREE rides from the Quay car park to the school and back throughout the day- first ride up the hill at 11.15am - last ride back is at 2.45pm.
There is poster competition running in the school, and best raffle ticket sellers (individual and registration group) will receive prizes. There is also a non-uniform day on Friday 29 November, so parent please send in hamper items / donations!
'St Nick's is all about bringing the community together to raise money for the school and have a great time in the process' said the St Nick's organisers. 'The kids work really hard in the run up to the big day to sell raffle tickets and make things for their stalls and then everyone comes together on the day to run the stalls, provide the entertainment and create a wonderful festive atmosphere.'
Please come and support us - it's a really enjoyable and sociable day and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that all proceeds raised will go towards school funds to help give our children the best education we can.
