New for Christmas 2018!  Penguins: A LEGO® brick trail

Santa has called on all his Penguin helpers this year, including the Rockhoppers and the Emperor Penguin, to help him spread some Christmas magic over Plymouth!

Join in our brand new family fun Christmas trail, Penguins: A LEGO brick trail. Find the names of all 20 life size LEGO brick penguins which will be hidden in selected shops and businesses across the city centre, and you could win fantastic prizes, including a weekend family trip to LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, or a Penguin Feeding Experience at Living Coasts for four people!

Follow the trail map to find all 19 life size Rockhoppers and one impressive Emperor penguin, collect the name of each penguin. The trail runs from 3 December 2018 to 3 January 2019 and the trial cards will soon be available to download or collect from participating shops.

Once you have collected all 20 names, complete the entry form for the chance to win an awesome weekend trip to LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, courtesy of Plymouth City Coach, on Saturday 1st to Sunday 2nd June 2019. The prize is for up to two adults and two children (under 12) sharing a family room, with return coach travel from Plymouth and one night’s dinner, bed & breakfast at the 4-star Crowne Plaza Heathrow Hotel. Plus the two day entry passes to LEGOLAND Windsor Resort.

Only fully completed entries will be considered and only one entry allowed per person. All entries must be received by Monday 14 January 2019. Whilst you are looking for penguins, keep an eye out for the fantastic LEGO brick Santa Express at the Old Town Street entrance to Drake Circus!

Plymouth Market

Plymouth Market will be running children’s Make and Take workshops every Saturday in December, to build a LEGO® bricks penguin or mini Santa by their fabulous new Christmas grotto. A Golden Ticket to be part of the Make and Take is just £5 and also includes labelling your own reindeer food, ready to take home for Santa’s sledge team on Christmas Eve.

To add a little more festive fun to your shopping there will also be face painting, a children’s entertainer and seasonal songs from the amazing Ocean City Sounds choir every Saturday before Christmas as well as the chance to meet the dreamy Upon a Wish princesses on Saturday 1st December or hope the Empire doesn’t strike back when the characters from Star Wars invade the Market on Saturday 8th.

Santa and his elves will be spending Saturday 15th and 22nd December in the Market and it’s just £3 to visit Santa. To visit Santa and a Make and Take Golden Ticket for a LEGO bricks penguin or mini Santa is just £6.

Drake Circus will be bringing the magic of Christmas alive at Santa's Smeaton’s Tower-style grotto with his team of elves from 17 November to 24 December. Pre-booking is available on the Drake Circus website.
