ARTIST ROOMS Richard Long exhibition
AboutRichard long is one of the most renowned artists working
today and is known in particular as a pioneer of land art.
Awarded the Turner Prize in 1989, he has developed a unique
investigation into landscape through the act of walking,
photography, sculpture, text, drawings, maps and diagrams.
Drawing from the ARTIST ROOMS collection, jointly owned
by the National Galleries of Scotland and Tate, the exhibition
presents works spanning 40 years of Long's artistic practice,
representing some of his epic walks across diverse locations,
from Devon to Ecuador.
