The winners of this year’s Devon Tourism Awards got to celebrate in style last week at an afterparty held at Quince Honey Farm where the final two awards were announced.
The event was a welcome reprieve for tourism leaders to meet and to receive their trophies after the difficulties of the past few years. The first of the final two awards was an award for Business Leader, which was presented to Andy and Julian from the 25 Boutique B&B, while the second was Winner of Winners, presented to Bear Town, who had already won two Gold Awards for New Tourism Business and Small Visitor Attraction, as well as a Bronze in the Accessible and Inclusive Tourism category.
The 25 Boutique B&B were also celebrating being announced as a finalist in the VisitEngland awards. They join two other Devon businesses and the winners will be announced early next month.
Speaking about the event, Deborah Heather from the award’s headline sponsors, Quality in Tourism, told reporters: “I was delighted to have been able to attend the Devon Tourism party last night, networking and catching up with industry friends and colleagues and finally having the chance to visit award-winning Quince Honey Farm. The evening culminated in the presenting of two extra awards to very well-deserving businesses: Tourism Leadership to Andy and Julian at the 25 and Winner of Winners to the team at Bear Town, hugely well-deserved by both, congratulations!”
The 2022/23 Devon Tourism Awards are now open for entry with a deadline of June 19th. For a full list of finalists, visit: devontourismawards.org.uk
