21st April 2022
Categories: Visitor News
Devon’s Top Attractions members have had a ‘cracking’ start to the season over the Easter holidays with many reporting they have seen good visitor numbers from both locals and holiday makers who have all been out in force. This coupled with the ideal weather has proved a winning combination and perfect too for Easter Egg Hunting! Having spent the last two Easters in lockdown, Devon’s Top Attractions are thrilled to be open without restrictions and busy welcoming happy visitors through their doors.
As we have enjoyed ‘a Spring Easter’ complete with some decent weather, another holiday season has started and the eagerly awaited 2022 Devon’s Top Attractions guide has landed too. This ever-popular holiday guide is extensively available across Devon and across the UK and can be picked up free in over 3,200 outlets as well as the new accompanying and increasingly popular on-line version too.
The guide remains a must-have holiday essential for both holiday makers and locals alike who love its useful information, maps, and format, with people enjoying entering the competitions to win the top Golden Tickets prizes and holidays that are up for grabs. The handy guide continues to be both popular and useful and features a full Devon Road Map, Beach Guide and 37 ideas for quality days out at Devon’s top visitor attractions.
Recent additions and a move towards a digital profile too have added to the guide’s value and now include QR codes for dog-friendly days out, dog-friendly beaches and to its popular Events pages for ‘What’s On’ in Devon. But one of the biggest features is that it’s FREE so Devon’s Top Attractions members were very surprised to see that three separate sellers on eBay were selling the guide at varying prices up to £2.25, plus postage!
Chairman of Devon’s Top Attractions, Dick Wood, said: “We could not quite believe what people try and sell on eBay because our holiday guide is FREE and has always been FREE, but I suppose we were also flattered that people think of them so highly and are selling them when they are so freely available! It just confirms the popularity and usefulness of our Devon guide. We have now asked the sellers to take down these promotions and we urge everyone not to pay for our guide, but to view it online free here: https://www.devonstopattractions.co.uk/devon-guide/ or to pick one up for free when they reach Devon where it is readily available and highly visible.”
