Known as the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, Exmouth is one of Devon’s oldest and prettiest seaside resorts, full of beautiful scenery and amazing views across the water. Not only that but staying in Exmouth gives you easy access to both the East Devon region full of amazing family friendly attractions, the beautiful East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and plenty of pretty coastlines and the bustling city of Exeter. Being Devon’s capital, Exeter has plenty to see and do, with eateries, events and incredible historic attractions and shopping opportunities.

There are a whole host of options when staying in Exmouth, so whatever your taste and budget, you’ll find something to suit your needs. From top hotels to family friendly holiday parks and campsites, all set within beautiful surroundings – you’re never short of somewhere to stay here.
One great option is Castle Brake Holiday Park, which is just on the outskirts of town and gives you easy access to Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth at the coast and the city of Exeter. Once you’ve found the perfect place to stay, you can start planning the rest of your trip. With Exeter and the East Devon region so close by, you’ll never be short of things to see and do.
In Exmouth itself, you’ll find a beautiful beach with two miles of golden sand and plenty of rock pools, which will keep the curious entertained for hours. If you’re adventurous, you’ll relish the chance to get out on the water and Exmouth Beach is the ideal place to do this with a variety of watersports and activities on offer. From tuition and group sessions to show you the ropes and the chance to get out yourself for a solo adventure, you can try your hand at everything from kite surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding and windsurfing.
The beach area is the gateway to the UNESCO Jurassic Coast World Heritage site, with fascinating geological settings and access to the South West Coast Path, the beach is the best place to explore the coast and enjoy some amazing coastal walks.

If you do like getting out on the water, book a river cruise with Stuart Line Cruises, a multi award winning passenger boat company based in the town of Exmouth. They offer a diverse range of cruises, taking you along the Jurassic Coast, along the River Exe, Exeter Canal and day trips along the South Devon Coastline. If you want to stay on dry land and get up close and personal with some cute animals, book a trip to the World of Country Life where you can hand feed alpacas, goats and lambs!
