Every where you look in Devon you can find fun activities, popular attractions and the very best rest and relaxation. If you’re coming to Devon this August, here are a couple of the events you can expect to find during your stay.
If you like the bright lights and rides of the fun fair, make sure to head to Torquay as the Anderton and Rowlands Fun Fair is taking place throughout the month. Find out more here.
Or for those of you who have really missed live music, there are several events taking place that you’ll want to get into your diaries.
At Canonteign Falls, they are hosting their popular Late Night Opening on 6th August featuring a live band, BBQ and the chance to sample Papillon Gin! You can find out more here.
Or in Plymouth you can head to the annual Ocean City Blues and Jazz Festival, which is now in its third year. Live theatre has also returned to Plymouth, with performances of the Standing Ovation musical, Blood Brothers, which is running at the Theatre Royal throughout August. See more here.

The only RHS Flower Show in the southwest is also returning this August at RHS Rosemoor. It’s a chance to enjoy some incredible floral displays and demonstrations, listen to some live music and pick up a few blooms for your own gardens. Details can be found here.
Over the past year, we’ve really missed being able to see some of our favourite annual events, but now that restrictions have lifted, many of them are coming back this month. In Beer, the much loved Regatta is back with a full week of events, see the details here. Dartmouth’s Royal Regatta is also back towards the end of the month, don’t miss it, find the details here.
While in Plymouth the British Firework Championships are taking place on the 18th and 19th August. and in Sidmouth, the annual Airshow is back after a break last year. This year’s programme looks very exciting, find out more here.
