When it comes to the names of towns and villages, no one does it quite like the west country. Across the south west there are a number of incredibly strange sounding names, some of which don’t sound anything like how they look and as we aren’t able to go searching for these names at the moment, we thought we’d bring our ten favourites to you!
Please be aware that the UK is currently under national lockdown restrictions and travel is not permitted, this post is for information and entertainment purposes only, please do not travel to Devon until it is deemed safe by the UK government.
Do you live near/ have you ever visited any of these places? Let us know!
