Stuck for things to do this half term? There is loads happening in Devon! From Halloween themed events to things for the whole family – take a look at some of these events taking place over half term.

For a great day out for the whole family, check out the Half Term activities at Pennywell Farm. Joining them for the week are Mr Phil and Poco Drom as well as Matt Pang, everyone’s favourite juggler! Pig Racing will also be taking place every afternoon, so whatever day you chose to visit, you won’t miss out on any of the fun!
If you want to have a scarily good time, make sure to check out the Halloween events that are taking place. World of Country Life have their October Half Term activities themed around the spooky season, with a special Halloween show, I’ve Lost my Mummy taking place before the animal racing and pumpkin carving as well as all the usual fun events.
Canonteign Falls in Exeter are also hosting fun Halloween activities for half term with their Halloween trail and the chance to win a family day ticket for the best fancy dress. Find out more here.
Even Dartmoor Zoo are in on the action – their Boo at the Zoo is back and better than ever! The event is suitable for the whole family, but does take place after dark, so make sure to check that your little ones will be ok.
In North Devon, the Milky Way have some extra spooky fun going on this half term. From 23rd – 31st October, the theme park will be dressed for the occasion and a Fancy Dress Competition will take place every day, with prizes available for the best dressed! The younger kids can get involved with the Treasure Hunt, while the older ones will love the Halloween Express, the Spooky Swamp Dodgems and a special show hosted by Merlin.
If the whole family wants to get involved, they can. In Exeter, the Red Coats are hosting their own spooky tour of the city where you can visit some of the most haunted spots and find out more about the city’s history. See more here.
While in Ilfracombe, there is the Halloween Ball Beer Festival which runs over three days. Kids can get involved with the fancy dress and pumpkin carving, while the adults can enjoy some beer and let their kids go crazy with the Face Painting your Parents activities!
It isn’t all about Halloween this half term. China Blue p3002483 are hosting pottery evenings where you can make up to four items. The sessions are for a maximum of 8 people, so it is a great way for friends to get together. In Torrington, the town council have put together an Expressive Art’s Trail, check it out here.
Or why not visit the Donkey Sanctuary for An Adorably Curious Adventure? There is even a prize for those of you who complete the trail!
