3rd July 2019
Categories: Visitor News
This summer, the UK’s only pop up underground cinema is coming to Kent’s Cavern. From the 24th August, you can catch a whole host of classic and family favourite movies with everything from the Goonies to Bohemian Rhapsody on the bill.
This pop-up cinema offers an experience like no other, imagine settling down to watch one of your favourites in a cave that has been around for over 400 million years! These caves were once the home of long extinct creatures such as mammoths and sabre toothed tigers, it really is a special location to enjoy a film or two!
The whole programme of films is available online here, but there is really something for everyone, with classics like the Goonies, family favourites, like the Greatest Showman and even horror films like the Descent (that will be scary in a cave!) and the Blair Witch Project. The unique setting allows you to truly immerse yourself as you experience Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom or look at some of the creatures that once lived in this kind of environment with Jurassic Park.
