Perhaps the biggest and most well-known theme park is Crealy. Based near Exeter, the multi-award winning family attraction is located just off the motor way, making it easily accessible from all over the country. In addition to having the theme park, the resort also has accommodation options so you can spend more than the day there. If you want to spend time exploring the wider area, that’s ok too, nearby attractions include Exeter Cathedral and Powderham Castle and Aerosaurus Balloons are also based nearby so you get the chance to see a bird’s eye view of the county.

Waterparks are a big draw in the warmer summer months, so why not head to Splashdown Quaywest, the UK’s largest outdoor waterpark, which is based in the popular resort of Paignton. Being such a popular destination, Paignton is full of attractions, accommodation and places to eat including the Beyond Escapes’ BE Tempted Restaurant. It’s a great place for families to spend the holidays, so be sure to take a look when you’re planning your vacation.

This multi award winning attraction is suitable for all ages and is even dog friendly! Sticking with North Devon for the moment, another option is Watermouth Family Theme Park and Castle, yes, that’s right, it’s a theme park based on the grounds of a castle, so you can enjoy the region’s history and do some thrill chasing all at the same time! As Watermouth is based in Ilfracombe, you’ll find a whole host of places to stay and things to do.
