Sometimes you want nothing more than to hide away somewhere beautiful and relax while getting some incredible treatments. If you feel like you’re in need of some R and R, then why not take a look at the various spa hotels and treatment centres in Devon?
Devon’s spa hotels are well known for their luxury, quality and their attention to your needs. Whether you want somewhere rural, in the heart of a city or near the beach, there are plenty to choose from. Staying in a Spa hotel also gives you access to somewhere to stay and dining options, but of course, you don’t have to stay on site to be able to enjoy the spa treatments on offer.

The Hawkchurch Resort and Spa is a five star holiday park with unrivalled facilities, perfect for if you want a whole family holiday but also the option to escape and relax. The site is in Axminster and has a variety of leisure facilities including beauty treatments, a hot tub, indoor pool, hydrotherapy pool, sauna and a gym. It is a great spot for those wanting a short weekend break or a romantic location as well as being suitable for families. Follow up your treatments with a trip to River Cottage for some refreshments or even take in a lesson or two in how to create a delicious, nutritious meal? You’re also near the Lyme Regis Museum should you have the kids with you and want them to blow of some stream during your trip.

In the heart of the English Riviera, you’ll find The Palace Hotel and Spa set on Paignton’s Esplanade, giving you quick and easy access to the sea front and town centre if you want the calming lull of waves to be the soundtrack to your break. Being in the heart of Paignton means you’re close to a whole host of attractions and activities including Splashdown Quaywest, which is the UK’s largest outdoor water park, Paignton Zoo and Living Coasts in Torquay. Devon Treasure Trails also have trails in the region for those of you who want to explore the area in an interesting new way before pampering yourself or if you fancy a treatment or two but the rest of your party would rather get the adrenaline pumping, book them into Jet Set Go! The Jet Ski Safari based in the English Riviera. Also in the English Riviera is Torquay’s Cary Arms and Spa a cute boutique hotel with plenty of facilities and some excellent fine dining options.

In North Devon, you can spend some time at spa in the Saunton Sands Hotel or at the Barnstaple Hotel. You don’t have to stay at either of these to use their facilities, but they do have some incredible accommodation on offer too. The spa facilities vary at each, but there are gyms, pools, saunas and various treatments on offer for you to choose from. For activities off site in Saunton, you can head to Skern Lodge where there are a range of outdoor adventure activities or there are the wonderful beaches in this part of Devon to explore.
So, for those of you looking for somewhere to spend a relaxing few days, hopefully this will have given you some inspiration. For more spa hotels and leisure facilities be sure to look at our accommodation and things to do pages.
