Father’s Day is on 16th June, so if you have a dad, step dad, uncle, grandfather, older brother or just a great father figure in your life, make sure they know they’re special by taking them on a trip to Devon.
There are a whole host of great dad themed events going on all over the county, as well as many of the hotels and restaurants offering Father’s Day menus so it really is a great place to spend the day with your dad. Plus, Father’s Day always falls in the warmer months, so you can be sure that there will be some sunshine and no need to wear a jumper!
Fathers Day Cruise with Stuart Line Cruises
For those that want to treat their dad to a day out, be sure to check our what’s on pages for the best special events for Father’s Day.
Head to Gara Rock for the Father’s Day Vintage Car Rally, perfect for the petrol heads among you, plus you can always stretch to dinner after! Alternatively, for the dads who have their sea legs, Stuart Line Cruises are offering a range of Father’s Day Cruises that include a pasty and a pint! There is also a dads travel free event at the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway, so you can treat your dad to a day on a steam train!
Free entry to Canonteign Falls
A number of Devon attractions are offering free entry to dads this year, Becky Falls have a Dads Go Free event, as do Canonteign Falls, and Pecorama.
If you’d rather do something that is just you and your dad, we can help out with some suggestions there too.

For the more active dads there are a whole host of activities and attractions that will suit you, from walking, cycling, white water rafting and just about everything else in between. Perhaps you’d rather just take a stroll along the beach, in which case, make sure to visit some of the top blue-flag winning beaches in the county.
