We know that Devon is a great place to go for a trip that doesn’t harm the planet, but now so does everyone else! Devon has been ranked second in the UK’s eco-friendly countryside holiday destinations, beating Somerset, Scotland, Dorset and Yorkshire. According to the research, Devon scored highly for its protected national parks and the high number of farmers’ markets.
The people of Devon have always been proud of the diverse landscape and the amazing locally sourced food and drink that can be found in the region. In fact, eco-tourism is becoming so popular in Devon that many accommodation providers are advertising the way that they are working to reduce their carbon footprint and eateries are dedicated to only serving sustainable sourced menus.
