If you’re in Devon on Mother’s Day, there are plenty of places to go to make sure your mum enjoys their day. You’ll find a whole host of events taking place all over the county on our what’s on pages, but in case you wanted something a little more unique, here are a few ideas.

It can be hard being a mum, so help her let her hair down by treating her to a tour at one of Devon’s gin distilleries. Whatever distillery you choose to visit, you’ll find an interesting day out, plus the chance to make and taste your own concoctions.
The Devonians love any excuse for an afternoon tea, especially if cream and jam are involved. There are plenty of hotels and cafes, as well as attractions offering mum’s the chance to sit down to afternoon tea on Mother’s Day so be sure to take advantage!

Dartmoor is beautiful, especially at this time of year when the flowers are starting to bloom and the wildlife is tending to the new borns. Spend a few hours strolling through the glorious countryside before stopping off for a bite to eat at one of the restaurants, hotels or pubs in the area.
If none of these take your fancy, why not do something more traditional? Devon is full of highly-rated, fine dining establishments offering special menus for Mother’s Day – book a meal for the family to enjoy together, find out more about what is on offer by searching on our What’s On pages.
