We know, we know. January is the worst time of the year, it’s cold, the joy of the Christmas holiday is over, but we can make it all better by thinking ahead to our summer holidays and this year, why not book yours at one of Devon’s Holiday Parks?
Holiday parks are great places to stay, whether you’re a family, a group of friends or just a couple looking to get away from it all. There is a lot to be said about staying in a hotel, but with a holiday park, you get all the comfort you can expect from award-winning accommodation, while also having a better access to the surrounding landscape. Whether you choose a rural or coastal location, holiday parks have wide expanses of land, easy access to beaches and parks, so you can spend your time exploring the natural world or star gazing. Holiday Parks also offer a lot more entertainment and activities than hotels, there are often separate club houses, so you can choose whether you join in or not. These activities are always family friendly and there are also opportunities to leave the kids at a club while you relax.
Holiday Parks are great for travellers that are going away together as a group, you can get chalets next door to each other and even if you don’t there are no rules to visiting each other and staying long into the night. You can’t always do that with a hotel! Holiday Parks also offer great cooking facilities and have onsite restaurants if you don’t fancy cooking for yourself and of course, they’re a good choice for anyone travelling on a budget.

Andrewshayes Holiday Park is in east Devon letting you explore the beautiful Jurassic Coast. The park offers a range of accommodation options, including homes with hot tubs, as well as having a swimming pool, indoor soft play area, games rooms an event WiFi. If you want to get out and about, you’re also near a whole host of fun attractions, such as Seaton Tramway where you can enjoy a double decker tram ride and see a panoramic view of the area! If you’d rather see what’s beneath the ground, Beer Quarry Caves is a fun, guided tour through some awe-inspiring caves. And if history is your thing, you’re near enough to the Jurassic Coast to do a spot of fossil hunting and spend a few hours at the Lyme Regis Museum.

You won’t need to venture off site if you don’t want to, but if you do, visit the Big Sheep, where you can watch sheep racing as well as take part in fun family activities, or for something more challenging, there is always the Milky Way Adventure Park! There is a restaurant at Bideford Bay, but if you’re out and about and feel a bit peckish the Pier House is Westward Ho!’s only seafront bar and bistro and offers some amazing views.
