If you’re looking for something to do this half term, why not head to Devon and take part in the festivities?
There are loads of family-friendly activities going on all over the region, you can see the whole list of events here or see below for some of our suggestions!

Lambing Live at the Big Sheep
Head to the Big Sheep during half term for lambing live where you might be lucky enough to see some of the new lambs being born! Not only that, but the Big Sheep is one of North Devon’s most popular attractions and has everything from rides to seasonal activities to keep you entertained! Need somewhere to stay in the vicinity? Check out Seafield Holiday Park, set in the village of Westward Ho! you’ll get some amazing views of Lundy Island and there are loads of facilities nearby for you to enjoy.

Sea the difference at the National Marine Aquarium
Returning for another year, this popular event allows visitors coming to the aquarium during the half term break a chance to meet local ocean heroes working to keep the coast as beautiful as possible. Budding marine biologists will have the chance to listen to scientists, conservationists and animal experts giving talks throughout the half term! If the mums and dads feel the need for their own half term fun, they could always check out Plymouth Gin and explore the famous distillery and try a few gins of their own!

February Half Term at Pennywell Farm
The team at Pennywell Farm are opening their doors for the 2019 season on 16th February, so you are invited to attend as a VIP! Come along to Pennywell Farm during that week and get a VIP pass for February Half term! As if all the fun of being at Pennywell Farm wasn’t enough, make sure to stop off at the South Devon Railway for a day of steam trains and nostalgia. Nearby accommodation includes the River Dart Country Park which is perfect for families or Knowle Farm, which will offer some amazing views.

February Fossil Festival at Torquay Dinosaur World
This is a must for any dinosaur fanatic! During half term, you can take part in the Fossil Festival and there’s even a chance to win a 160-million year old fossil to take home!
Torquay is a popular destination for families, if you also want to see penguins during your visit, Living Coasts is nearby and there are lots of hotels and b&bs in the area, make sure to book soon though as these fill up fast!
Half term fun at World of Country Life
The 2019 season starts in half term for the team at the World of Country Life, to celebrate there is a whole programme full of activities for the whole family! Welcome Family Holiday Park is a first class accommodation offering a great location and excellent facilities for families if you were planning on staying in the area.
Family Feb Fest at Crealy
Crealy are pulling out the stops this half term with a whole festival planned bringing you live entertainment every day meaning you can enjoy the whole theme park and the Feb Fest Show all in one visit! Of course, you could stay over at their accommodation and spend the whole week there and also spend some time viewing Devon from above with Aerosaurus Balloons while you here!
