Everyone with a dog will know that it isn’t a family holiday unless your four-legged friend joins you, so we’ve pulled together five of the region’s dog friendly accommodations, so you can give your pooch the choice of where they would like to go!

This country manor house hotel and restaurant is tucked away in a rural spot in North Devon surrounded by 44 acres of gardens and countryside. Also, as the Trimstone Manor Country House Hotel is just off the A361 you’re well connected to a whole host of attractions. There are a number of beaches nearby, such as Lee Bay Beach and Barricane Beach. Many of the local beaches allow dogs during certain times of the year, so be sure to check before you travel.

Offering the choice between hotel and self-catering accommodation right next to the beach in Croyde, this is the perfect family friendly place to stay. Pets are accepted by arrangement so be sure to speak to them when making your booking for a great room suitable for you and your furry friend. You could also check out Beachside Grill at Saunton Sands Hotel where you can sample some amazing menus right on the beach!

This family park based in Totnes gives you the choice of caravans, motorhomes, tents, trailer tents and more to stay in, the Woodlands Family Theme Park is one of the largest tourist attractions in the South West and is just a short stroll across the site. Nearby Pennywell Farm offers day kennels and exercise areas for your dogs while you have fun in the park!

Paschoe House
A newly opened boutique hotel and fine dining restaurant near Tiverton, Paschoe House is perfect for a romantic escape, family holiday or a weekend retreat. They are so keen to welcome your furry friends that their team are on hand to give them a bath, complete with dog-friendly luxury products. A short drive away is Fursdon House and Gardens, which allows dogs to explore the gardens with the family.

This collection of luxurious award-winning holiday cottages is just a few minutes from the West Coast Path leading down to Westward Ho! beach, as well as being close to the Royal North Devon golf course for those that want to do a few holes while you’re away. They allow pets by arrangement, so give them a go if your dog enjoys the sea air and running along the coast! For the rest of you, The Big Sheep is an attraction nearby that has special play areas for the dogs while the owners enjoy the theme park. If you fancy a bite to eat when exploring the coast, head to The Pier House on the sea front, which accepts pets and also has some spectacular menus!
