Located in a quiet Devon valley, Jacob’s Hut offers views across a reed-dotted pond (pair of binoculars in the hut for peeping at the ducks and moorhens) and up to the steeple of Thrushelton Church on the opposite hill. The hut is lit with tea lights, candles, fairy lights and LED storm lanterns, the whole place is warmed by a wood-burning stove (initial bag of wood included), board games and dominoes are provided for cosy evenings and the private shower room is only approximately 60 paces away from the hut.

There is a gas barbecue which has a single boiling ring or you can cook in the Dutch Oven over the firepit. Grumpy’s shed is where you have access to a fridge and deep freeze with ice cubes and wine coolers.
Jacob’s Hut is a great base for exploring this lovely region as it is located only a short 15 minute drive to Dartmoor National Park and only a 40 minute drive from the North Cornwall Coast.
