What could be better than spending time in one of Devon’s most beautiful spots than spending time there surrounded by amazing food? So if you find yourself in Devon over the weekend of 19th-21st October, be sure to enjoy both those things with the Dartmouth Food Festival.
The Festival, now in its 16th year, the Festival is set to be bigger and better than ever. This year, Dartmouth welcomes many special guests, from internationally renowned chefs to celebrated writers and critics, to provide a huge range of exciting, informative and downright delicious entertainment. Led by our Festival advocate, award-winning chef and local restaurateur, Mitch Tonks, a spellbinding array of household names ensure the festival is packed with both our local and national food heroes including the top local and regional chefs, Simon Hulstone, Richard Bertinet, Romy Gill, and Angela Hartnett.
The Festival is a whole community affair, with people all over Dartmouth getting involved, wherever you look you’ll get the chance to sample some amazing food and take part in mouth-watering workshops. The Festival has something for the whole family. There plenty for grown-ups with amazing cookery demonstrations, drinks seminars and tastings. You'll meet celebrity chefs and local cookery heroes and some of the UK's top food writers. For children there's the Children's Tea Party at the start of the Festival on the Thursday, followed by lots of fun events throughout the Festival. And even your dog can be a gourmand for the day and savour the latest doggy flavoured ice cream from Dartmouth Ice Cream Company.
