Treat your dad this Father’s Day in Devon
Dads seem to have drawn the better straw when it comes to their celebratory day, Father’s Day falls on the 17th June, right in the middle of summer, which means that a trip to the beach is totally acceptable!
Luckily, there are lots of things to do in Devon and several events taking place especially for dads, so there’s no need to stay home, instead head to Devon!
Pennywell Farm, always have a heap of things to keep the whole family entertained, but this Father’s Day, visitors will be able to enjoy free tractor rides and mini golf, plus there is a free pint and pasty for all the dad’s!
If your dad is a foodie and would like nothing more than sitting down to a large dinner on his special day, he’s in luck, Devon hosts some of the country’s best restaurants and is the place to go if you like sea food – many of the eateries in the region use locally sourced products and you can’t beat the county’s famous strawberries and cream!
One place to keep an eye out for is Wear Park Restaurant who are putting on a lunch for all the family, you can choose from a two or three course meal, plus there will be live music while you’re dining.

If your dad is more of the adventuring type, Devon has a whole range of activities to explore from adventure parks to walking trails and cycling routes so they can see the landscape in its full glory! Your whole family can spend the day playing games, building dens and taking on the obstacle course in a beautiful Devon setting.
If you think he’d prefer something he can do at his own pace, Devon is also a hot spot for golfers. The country’s oldest links course can be found in Devon and there are over fifty courses to choose from across the region, some offer tuition, others offer special golfing holidays and others are happy to let you while away the day on the green.
Whatever your dad’s preferences, there is always something to amuse him in Devon!
