Prepare for fright and delight at Affinity Devon this October half-term with the return of Choc Fest and lots of spooky goings on to celebrate Halloween. There’s plenty of fun to be had this half-term week, with all events open to everyone and completely free to take part!
Affinity Devon is kicking off the half-term week with Choc Fest, an unmissable event for all chocolate lovers out there. Choc Fest is bigger and better than ever, with over 18 exhibitors set to visit the centre with a guest appearance from the king of chocolate himself, Willy Wonka. Each exhibitor specialises in something deliciously different, from chocolate liqueurs and locally made chocolates to rocky-road and hand-rolled ice cream. There will also be vegan and gluten-free chocolates on offer and much more. Choc Fest will be held at Affinity Devon from 10am-4pm on 20th and 21st October. Be sure to say hello to Willy Wonka if you see him - he will be giving out Golden Tickets for a chance to win a fantastic chocolatey prize.
From Monday 22nd October, Halloween reigns supreme at Affinity Devon with plenty of spooky goings-on to make sure that all visitors have a frightfully good time.
The centre will begin the week by encouraging customers to get active and play a game of terrifying tennis against one of its very own Halloween characters. Visitors to the centre on Monday 22nd, Wednesday 24th and Friday 26th October can see their little ones be transformed into a spooky pumpkin or Halloween ghoul with FREE freaky-face painting available to all. Local entertainers will perform a spooky storytelling and juggling show on Tuesday 23rd October, and customers are inspired to get crafty on Thursday 25th October with a Halloween-themed Hand Puppet Craft Workshop.
Back by popular demand local performers Shannon Lewis and Char Juniper, who have previously taken part in the Affinity Devon busking programme, will be performing at the centre between 12-2pm Monday-Friday. The Sarah Anne Westcott School of Dance will be back for the second year in a row to deliver a haunting Halloween-themed performance on Saturday 27th October.
Affinity Devon will be hosting a Spooky Sock Hunt throughout half-term. Simply visit the Cadbury store to collect a Sock Spotter sheet. Spot all the spooky socks to claim your ‘Sock Spotter’ badge!
