Did you win a weekend family ticket to GoldCoast Oceanfest, Devon’s biggest surf & music festival right beside the beach in Croyde, plus 3 nights’ stay at Parkdean Ruda Holiday Park? To enter, hundreds joined Visit Devon’s ever-growing crowd of followers on Twitter and Facebook.
About the prize
Goldcoast Oceanfest is celebrating 18 years of great music, beach sports and family fun, and 2016 promises to be the best yet. Headliners such as DJ Fresh, Fuse ODG, Sunset Sons, K T Tunstall and The Cuban Brothers will have the crowd rocking out against a stunning ocean backdrop over midsummer weekend June 17-19. The line-up also includes, Palma Violets, Prides, Lloyd Yates, Clean Cut Kids, Flight Brigade and Seafret plus many, many more.
This hugely popular family-friendly occasion is set in a beautiful beachside location in Croyde Bay, and is well known for spotting artists ‘on the up’: Ed Sheeran, Ben Howard, and Bastille all played the Sunshine Stage before going on to win big at the Brits, and two of last year’s acts – Roots Manuva and Gaz Coombes – have just been nominated for a prestigious Ivor Novello Award. More on who and what’s on, and to buy tickets
There’s also an acoustic stage, chill teepee, festival village, arena displays, tea & jam tent, craft cider & ale bar – and much more. This year’s nominated charity, Children’s Hospice South West will also be hosting one of their Silver Tea Parties in the festival village on Friday, and an action-packed sports programme means you can also watch exciting national competitions or join in and try something new … SUP, coasteering or morning yoga anyone?
The prize also includes three nights’ accommodation in a 3-bed caravan sleeping up to 8 people at Parkdean Ruda Holiday Park, set beside Croyde Bay, one of Devon’s most stunning beaches. There’s something there for everyone, with the Cascades Tropical Adventure pool where you can ride the 230ft big blue slide or splash through the waterfalls, live entertainment, free kids’ clubs, adventure play areas, beach activities, tennis courts and nature trails. Ruda are also offering a meal for the party in their on-site family restaurant and a complimentary ticket to Cascades swimming pool.
