It ain’t all about the chocolate you know … there’ll be exciting things to do across Devon this 2015 Easter holidays, making it a great place to come for a family break.
From dinosaur trams to meetings with Thomas, Easter eggs hunts to tall ship explorations, there’ll be something for every member of the family to enjoy (and ok, there’ll probably be plenty of chocolate alongside too). The BIG Sheep Easter Eggstravaganza

The BIG Sheep will have enough chocolate eggs hidden throughout this world great family attraction to share with everyone this Easter – over 30,000, in fact! They’ll be dotted around all the other attractions, including bunnies, newborn lambs, pygmy goats, pettable puppies, face painting, Easter express train ride, ride-on tractors and Ewetopia indoor playground, and there’ll also be a chance to meet the Easter bunny.

Chocolate and Candy Fortnight at Powderham Castle

Easter at Pennywell Farm

Easter fun and games … join in with Easter egg hunts, guess the weight of the Easter bunny, meet the Easter babies and have a go at egg rolling and egg and spoon races. All this will be in addition to Pennywell’s well-loved half hourly activities, including Dan the Hat and Nutty Noah providing entertainment, and guest appearances in the form of hands-on birds of prey displays from the Hawk and Owl Sanctuary (April 4 & 5 only).

Thomas and The Fat Controller at The Milky Way

Thomas and Friends will be at The Milky Way in North Devon this Easter weekend. Meet Thomas and The Fat Controller at intervals throughout the day, and enjoy rides on this all-weather amusement park’s own narrow gauge railway. Both are included in the park’s standard entrance fee, and of course, you get to enjoy all of the attractions and activities on offer for little ones including a children’s rollercoaster, dodgems and train ride, as well as Little Stars – North Devon’s ground breaking play area designed specifically for young children.

Easter fun at Hartland Abbey
Near Hartland
April 5-6
Join the fun in the beautiful grounds and gardens of Hartland Abbey over the Easter weekend, where the daffodils and spring flowers should be looking wonderful. Children will love searching the woodland paths and walks for clues that will lead them to hidden Easter Eggs, plus there’ll be traditional games like Pin the Tail on the Bunny, and the house will be open from 2-5pm at an extra charge. Dogs are very welcome – as long as they don’t eat the chocolate!

Historic Tall Ship at Sutton Harbour

Easter Events at the Seaton Tramway

Expect fun and games for all of the family over the Easter Weekend – including some unique dinosaurs-meet-trams events! On Good Friday and Easter Monday it’s Eastersaurus Fun, then on April 4 there’s a special birdwatching journey. On Easter Sunday it’s Dinosaur Train – an adventure-filled tram ride with music and stories, and a chance to meet your favourite T Rex, Buddy.
