It’s not every day you can hand feed a deer or a llama, walk a pygmy goat or bottle feed a lamb but you can do all of this and more at the multi-award winning World of Country Life in Exmouth.

Located in the beautiful area of Sandy Bay on the outskirts of Exmouth right on the dramatic Jurassic Coast, World of Country Life is a family-owned, award-winning attraction offering some of the best family days out in the region. A visit to the World of Country Life will give you the chance to make friends with a wide range of furry and feathered creatures. Some usual sights such as lambs, goats, calves and donkeys and the more unusual like alpacas, rheas, llamas, red deer and ferrets, as well as the chance to explore a fantastic collection of vintage vehicles and burn off some energy in the adventure playground.

World of Country Life has an eclectic mix of museums, animals, play areas and entertainment both outdoors and under cover, so whatever the weather you can have a fabulous day, it doesn’t matter how old you are or what you’re into, there is something for everyone there.

You will never forget the hilarious animal racing events* – ‘Lamb National’, ‘Quacky Races’ or ‘Total Ferret Wipeout’, and the amazing flying displays by Hawkridge Birds of Prey all add to the fun. Take a walk back in time down memory lane and explore the Victorian street, call in at the Game Keeper’s Cottage, drop into the dress shop, stop off at the garage or pop into the pub - all featuring memorabilia from years gone by. The Hall of Transport houses one of the largest collection of vintage vehicles, motorcyles and steam engines in the South West including the Charabanc used for filming Downton Abbey and the Daimler featured in Mr Selfridge and Parade’s End! Enjoy some tasty bites from the Tractor take-away. There are tons of indoor and outdoor picnic seating, no one goes hungry there! The team are making an effort to be more environmentally friendly, so you’ll find that we’ve replaced all the takeaway containers, coffee cups, lids, straws and cutlery with compostable alternatives, so you can enjoy a treat without feeling guilty!

As well as a daily programme of activities* there are many different play areas including ‘Appy Angus soft play areas, a giant air bouncer, slides, electric cars, trampolines, a full size pirate ship, adventure playground, Farmer Lee’s Ninja challenge course and brand new for 2022 climb aboard Dougie the life size Digger!! The younger members of the family will love the adventure playground, where you can find slides, trampolines, soft play bouncy castles.

World of Country Life pride themselves on being accessible, making sure that every one of their visitors has a fantastic time. There are easily accessible attractions with wide paved paths and wheelchairs available for loan free of charge. Staff are also on hand throughout the park to assist you should you need any help or information about the accessibility about any of the areas. Guide and Service dogs are welcome into the park and for all other dogs, the team can recommend a great dog sitter right on the doorstep.

With oodles of indoor and outdoor amusement your day will be filled with fun! Kids, adults and grandparents can all enjoy a full day and whatever the weather you will take home some wonderful lifetime memories.
