About

With South Western Railway you can explore Devon from anywhere in the country.

South Western Railway is a joint venture between FirstGroup and MTR Europe, two of the world’s leading train companies.
The South Western franchise has over 235 million passenger journeys a year and covers routes between London Waterloo and south western England, including Exeter, Bristol and Portsmouth. They cover some of the busiest routes in the country, operating nearly 1,700 services each weekdays.

Devon is easily accessible by rail and the South Western Railway lines will give you a chance to visit Exeter, one of the major cities in the region and Devon’s county town, it is a rich, captivating city with plenty of attractions and accommodation options. You can move seamlessly from train to tourist trail thanks to the excellent transport links in Exeter. From Exeter St David’s Station, you can hop straight into a taxi, change to another train, hire an electric bike or travel the city by bus.

You can visit southwesternrailway.com for live travel updates, train tickets, special offers and a full list of destinations, as well as top attractions in the area. You’ll also be able to keep up to date with all the rail improvements that are coming over the next few years.

South Western Railway are also on Facebook and Twitter, so make sure you are following them to be the first to hear of special offers and events happening near you, as well as discounts, rail cards and more.
