At Bicton Park Botanical Gardens there is plenty of indoor and outdoor fun and educational activities for children to enjoy.
Our heated indoor play barn is an all year round destination for those with young children where they can burn of energy on a range of soft play equipment. Guardians can relax in the play barn café and watch the children having fun.
The Farmyard is also a favourite with young children where they can make hay and there is also a covered seating area and hot drinks facility.
Our main outdoor play area offers a range of play equipment where youngsters can swing, spin and climb and in high season drinks, ice creams, confectionary and snacks are available from the play areas kiosk with picnic tables at which to enjoy these or your own food and drink.
There is also our childrens Pollinator Trail for them to follow and find out a little more about the significance of pollinators such as birds, bats, bees, butterflies, beetles, and other small mammals that pollinate plants and are responsible for bringing us one out of every three bites of food. Our bee-hives and related information boards near the start of out Nuthatch Nature Trail also provide a further child friendly insight to the importance of bees and especially honey bees which are the largest type of bee.
Add to this our mini golf, full size football pitch and acres of space in which to roam and in total this makes up a broad and varied range of fun and educational activities for youngsters.
