About

With thanks to the hundreds of people who have been supporting us through donations on our own website and through the #SaveOurTheatre campaign in conjunction with Crowdfunder, the Babbacombe Theatre in Torquay can re-open once lockdown 3 can end. KEEP EVERYTHING CROSSED we even have a more wonderful shows for you during 2021!

All immediate shows are being rescheduled so please check our website for details. Having taken over the Babbacombe Theatre to save it from closure in 1986 it would be unthinkable that this crisis will now see the end of this iconic venue. We are totally unsubsidised and get no financial support from the Council, Government, Arts Council or Lottery and rely on the success of our own productions and touring shows, which with our dedicated team has seen us through difficult times.

However, to remain in business when this situation is over, we ask not only for your understanding as we reschedule shows, but that you consider donating if you feel inclined to support us in that way. If you so wish to donate you can do so via the Restoration Fund page on our website, accessible via this link https://babbacombe-theatre.ticketsolve.com/products/donation

A valuable asset to the English Riviera the Babbacombe Theatre in Torquay, is renowned for wowing audiences with their highly acclaimed family variety shows, performed with professional casts, throughout the year.

‘Fabulous’ is the word most used in reviews on TripAdvisor, Google and the venues social media pages for their annual seasonal shows. The company are hoping that audiences will feel that the productions for 2021, SuperStars 2021 & I Love Music will be as FAB-U-LOUS, if not even more so!

Each show will feature some of the most iconic names in music, TV and the movies, whilst embracing the comedic talents of the headlining acts.

For details about all the shows programmed this season at one of Devon’s top theatres (as rated by TripAdvisor), including SuperStars 2021 & I Love Music; please refer to the venues website.

The theatre has access for wheelchair users with an accessible toilet, wheelchair spaces & Loop System.
