By now we’re sure you’re all looking forward to spring, but if you find yourself in Sidmouth during the end of winter, here are some suggestions of things you can do to keep warm and have a great time.

Relax and recharge

As the winter comes to an end, why not use the time to recharge ready for the new season? You can indulge in a little pampering at spas all over Sidmouth, with independent businesses offering beauty treatments and hotels with state of the art facilities – plus what could be better than a dip in the sauna to warm you up?

Stop for a Cream Tea

One of the delights of coming to Devon is having a real Devonshire cream tea and in Sidmouth, you can enjoy a cream tea of your choice while overlooking the glorious Jurassic Coast – there are a range of different cream teas on offer in town. There are gluten and dairy free options, as well as other variations on the traditional.

Go out exploring

Whether you want to head out on foot or get on your bike, you can keep warm by getting the blood pumping and exploring the beautiful surrounds at the same time. Head out along the South West Coast Path to truly experience the Jurassic Coast in all its glory or have a walk along the Byes and see if you can spot the first signs of spring. For those of you who want to get on your bikes, there are some fabulous routes around town, including one that takes you out towards Ladram Bay and the East Devon Way.

Exercise your credit card

With an eclectic mix of independent and high street shops, one way to stay warm is running in and out of shops, checking out the unique gifts on offer. The shopping areas have loads of lovely cafes and tearooms dotted between the shops, so you can really make a whole day of it.
