Do Everything or Nothing in Seaton
Searching for a place where you can hike, cycle, play, or relax? With an abundance of activities on our doorstep, and our natural capital to explore and enjoy, you’ll find something for everyone in Seaton. What will you do first?
Seaton offers a plentiful array of activities and natural landscapes to explore. Bathe in Lyme Bay whilst enjoying our accessible beach, discover the beauty of the Jurassic Coast, as you hike the South West Coast Path, or jump aboard the tram for a fun family day out—there’s more happening in Seaton than you think.
Explore by bike
If you want to explore Devon’s natural playground, then cycling is the perfect way to get around in Seaton with Bicycle-friendly bridleways and quiet country roads. So much so that the seafront roundabout, nicknamed the ‘Pedal-about’, is surrounded by brightly painted retired bicycles.
Seaton features on several national cycling trails, including Sustrans’ coast- hugging Route 2, from Dover to Cornwall and mountain bikers can explore bridleways and off-road tracks, including trails.
There are also shorter walking tracks to be explored around the town and its immediate surrounds too.
Something for everyone
Looking for a more relaxed day, then Seaton shopping, away from the hustle and bustle of larger towns, has something for everyone. Seaton is particularly renowned for its Art Society, and you’ll find unique products from local artists in several of the town’s shops including paintings, jewellery and hand-made glass. The town centre is pedestrianised and there are a number of parks and green spaces to sit and watch the world go by in between visits to the array of interesting shops.
With something for everyone, it’s no wonder that our seaside town appeals to all, including young families, active adults, and the young at heart.
