Cycling in Seaton
If you want to explore Devon’s natural playground, then cycling is the perfect way to get around in Seaton with Bicycle-friendly bridleways and quiet country roads. So much so that the seafront roundabout, nicknamed the ‘Pedal-about’, is surrounded by brightly painted retired bicycles.
Seaton features on several national cycling trails, including Sustrans’ coast- hugging Route 2, from Dover to Cornwall and mountain bikers can explore bridleways and off-road tracks, including trails.
Experience a coastal reboot and enjoy walking and hiking on the world-famous South West Coast Path. Seaton has lots of walker-friendly accommodation and facilities for hikers to stock up on supplies.
There are also shorter walking tracks to be explored around the town and its immediate surrounds too.
Shopping in Seaton
Looking for a more relaxed day, then Seaton shopping, away from the hustle and bustle of larger towns, has something for everyone. Seaton is particularly renowned for its Art Society, and you’ll find unique products from local artists in several of the town’s shops including paintings, jewellery and hand-made glass. The town centre is pedestrianised and there are a number of parks and green spaces to sit and watch the world go by in between visits to the array of interesting shops.
With something for everyone, it’s no wonder that our seaside town appeals to all, including young families, active adults, and the young at heart.
