A Hub for Culture

A place for the creative and the curious, Honiton is home to a treasure trove of galleries, museums, and more. Spend a morning getting your art fix as you explore the award-winning galleries, catch a show or pop-up exhibition, or journey back in time at the town’s museum. There are a large number of independent antique dealers with opportunities to pick up a piece for your own collection.  At the Town Market, held every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, dealers in crafts and antiques set up their stalls to bring an added dimension to Honiton’s fine Georgian High Street.

Something Honiton is famed for and takes great pride in is being the antiques capital of the South West, which is why it has been featured on BBC Bargain Hunt & Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.  If you’re more of an artist than viewer, take a spin at pottery making with local classes, or perhaps try a floral workshop. The more musical, meanwhile, will love the many live events at bars and pubs on the high street.
