The Courtyard is a family run botanical themed fully licensed restaurant/ café. At the rear of the restaurant is a quaint sunny courtyard with seating where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the High Street and enjoy a bit of seclusion. It is enjoyed by both locals and tourists alike.
The menu is divided into two sections, one for non-Vegans (Fauna) and one for vegans (Flora), so parties with different tastes and dietary requirements can enjoy a meal out together. You can even enjoy your meal to take away.
Breakfast is served from 8:30am, with a multitude of options, from a full cooked breakfast to a slice of toast or porridge. Lunch beings at 12 noon where you can enjoy a snack or a main meal, most of the food is homemade and, on Sunday a full homecooked roast is served. This comes with all the trimmings including homemade Yorkshires and cauliflower cheese, there is also a vegan and gluten free option.
In the afternoon we have a variety of cakes to choose from, including afternoon cream teas, there is also a savoury tea option, but we don’t mind if you fancy a bit of sweetness a bit earlier on in the day.
During the Summer and Autumn months the opening times are extended to Friday and Saturday evenings where evening specials are put on.
Where possible most of our produce is locally sourced and our coffee is Share trade from Chimney Fire Coffee. This way we can rest assured that the farmers can manage their own farm and is environmentally sustainable, creating a better future for all of us, which is part of our ethos.
We hope you enjoy your visit with us.
The Courtyard is situated at the top of the High Street, close to the post office and next door to Tesco Express.
The Courtyard is a one minute walk from the bus stop on All Saints road.
